Website reaches out to youth
Once again the City has turned to HB Group to reach youth with vital messages. It started with our “Why Drive High?” campaign which included a physical game and an innovative website game. Then we created and produced a plinko anti-smoking game and a puzzle to warn of the dangers of high-octane energy drinks. Now, just online, “Get Tested. Why Not?” fights against the growth of sexually transmitted infections. Although this website was developed for Ottawa Public Health it has been so successful that it is now being expanded to include health units in Eastern Ontario.

New work for Human Resources and Skills Development
Our relationship with this department has been, and still is, highly satisfactory. The programs we have recently designed for, some in eleven languages, include Registered Education Savings Plans, Essential Skills and Apprenticeship, Employment Equity, and New Horizons for Seniors Program. We have just designed a new “look” for Essential Skills Profiles including a tag that has rave reviews. This will be the template for Skills Profiles for over 350 occupations that will be produced in the coming year.

The growth of electronic communication
It used to be that we designed graphically and then programmed in HTML. Now, as often as not, we design for electronic communication first and print becomes collateral. HB Group has always moved with the times, producing highly creative quality work that advances its client’s objectives,
