TOM DOUGLAS
Toronto Director

Tom Douglas has headed HB Group’s Toronto operations since the company was founded. He is a communications expert, senior writer author and military historian.

A former reporter with the Sault Ste. Marie Star, he was twice selected by DND to tour Canadian bases in Europe. In May 2005, he was chosen byVeterans Affairs Canada as one of six media representatives covering the 60th anniversary ceremonies in Holland of the Liberation of the Netherlands.

Tom has written extensively for various Government departments including Finance Canada, Industry Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Veterans Affairs Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs. His freelance articles have been published in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, the Vancouver Courier, the Canadian Press Wire Service, and the Financial Post. He has also written speeches and speaking notes for Federal and Provincial cabinet members, diplomats, senior civil servants and CEO’s of major international corporations.
