Brian had designed communications strategies for clients such as the City of Ottawa, Canadian Revenue Agency, Ottawa Public Library and Hydro Ottawa. His twenty-year career as a journalist gives him first-hand experience in planning media strategies aimed at target audiences.
During his fifteen years as a journalist with CBC Radio, Brian was a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, a news editor and a program host.
Brian advises HB Group clients on media strategy, positioning, reputation building and crisis management. He writes materials for print media, the web and audiovisual products as well as speeches for senior officials.
His work as a journalist allows him to synthesize issues, to write in plain language, and to interact with other journalists and editors. Brian’s intimate knowledge of politics and the media in Canada greatly facilitates his role in public and media relations.
